No silent install without PDF Architect

I create an install settings file with PDFCreator-2_3_1-Setup.exe /saveinf="settings.txt" and walk through a manual install without including PDF Architect (which is offered multiple times :angry:).

I then try to use the file to do an install on another system with PDFCreator-2_3_1-Setup.exe /verysilent /norestart /loadinf="settings.txt" and all the settings are followed except that PDF Architect still installs. :rage:

Is there no way to avoid PDF Architect without a manual install?

Hi,

I am afraid this is broken in the current version, but it wasn’t done intentionally and I am sure it will be fixed with the next update. Version 2.3.1 is a pure maintenance release and doesn’t offer additional features, if you aren’t suffering from bugs on the other machines, you could skip this one.

Hi,
We have the same issue with the last stable version (3.0.1).
We created an .inf file clear, with only Pdf Creator but Pdf Architect still installs…
Is there a way to get rid of the problem?

I can’t reproduce this issue here in an initial test, are you sure the .inf file was created / loaded properly?
My .inf looks like this:
[Setup]
Lang=German
Dir=C:\Program Files\PDFCreator
Group=PDFCreator
NoIcons=0
SetupType=custom
Components=program
Tasks=desktopicon,desktopicon\common,winexplorer
Printername=PDFCreator

Hello, sorry for late reply but I was away for work.
Our inf is really similar to yours.

[Setup]
Lang=Italian
Dir=C:\Program Files\PDFCreator
Group=PDFCreator
NoIcons=0
SetupType=custom
Components=program
Tasks=winexplorer
Printername=PDFCreator

Only difference is Tasks row. We have only winexplorer.
We notice that Pdf Architect is installed on the second reboot of the machine, during the first boot only Pdf Creator is present.
