PDF Creator installs PDF Architect. How to stop?

We only want PDFCreator to be installed, not PDF Architect as well. How can we silently stop this?

Hi,

you can create a cutomized setup like explained here: http://www.pdfforge.org/content/setup-command-line-parameters

if you need any further help with it, just ask:)

Sorry posted my comment on #10430

Hello Robin, I’ve seen you were helping “suspend6”, I do have the opposite problem, i would like to install pdf Architect but I can’t, I installed already pdf Creator but even creator doesn’t work, I mean I checked already inside program files and run the software from there but it gives me just a menu with 2 option to change Application Settings or Profile Settings, and that’s it, should I activate Crator with a serial key license? Pdf Architect installation does not even start, or to be precise, it starts and then i get the same error over and over.
I see there is a Proxy settings option, but I dont know my proxy settings because my company proxy settings are set automatically by default.
Any idea on how to solve the issue or maybe a workaround?
My goal is just to install pdf Architect, any version would be ok.
Thanks a lot
Alex

Hi Alex,

let me point out, it is perfectly normal that you get the menu to navigate to application or profile settings when running PDFCreator directly. If you’d like to convert any file to PDF, you can print it to the virtual PDFCreator printer without needing to manually run PDFCreator, it will automatically start up once you print to its printer. Find out more about the different ways to use PDFCreator here: http://docs.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator/latest/en/pdfcreator/using-pdfcreator/

To install PDF Architect behind a proxy with unknown settings, please download the following .zip file containing offline MSI for all modules:
http://download.pdfforge.org/go/pdfarchitect5/business/pdfarchitect5-gpo.zip
Unzip the downloaded file and run the “startup” MSI followed by all other modules you have licenses for (for the free version, install “startup”, “create” and “edit”).

Best regards,

Robin
