PDF Creator not embedding fonts when used from Google Chrome

Hi there,

I’ve run into an issue with PDF Creator.  I’m currently running v2.1 but this issue was also present in previous versions.

When printing a PDF from Google Chrome, PDF Creator is not embedding any fonts at all.  This is resulting in my PDFs showing graphical artifacts in the preview known as fat “els”.

The same page printed with the same settings from Firefox works correctly and embeds all used fonts, resulting in perfect glitch free previews.

I don’t want to use Firefox.  Is there a solution for this issue?

Thank you

I do have exactly the same problem, did you get a solution for it?

It is not a PDFCreator issue, this is how Chrome sends the data to the printer.

Hi,
Chrome has embeded “Save as PDF” option.
You can choose it in menu “Print” and set printer(Save as PDF).
Checked in 62 version.
So text in PDF file is selectable.

Hi,

yes this is a good workaround, as long as you don’t need any of the PDFCreator actions/settings.
It is interesting that the export will create proper text while actual printing to any other printer will render the text as vector graphics.

Best regards

Robin
