Update Installation failed with return code 1

Hi There,

we have a few clients where the update installation from 2.5.3 to 3.1.0 failed with return code 1.

Has someone details for me to find the problem?

Hi Alex,

are the clients using PDFCreator Plus/ Business? If yes, the way how we generate our machine IDs has changed with PDFCreator 3.0.0, so you might need to login to our license server to reset the activations in order to clear the old machine IDs before updating.
Otherwise, a setup log should get created in the %temp% folder of the user running the setup which might contain additional information aboutthe problem, please post it here and we will have help…

thanks for your response. Its just the free installation. Were using this parameters for the update installation: /LOADINF=“setup_de.inf” /verysilent /ForceInstall /norestart
