Upgrade from PDFCreator 1.6.2 to 2.5.1

Hi,
I’m looking to upgrade our PDFCreator from version 1.6.2 to 2.5.1

In doing this am I likely to hold onto current settings and printers? Or will these be lost as part of the upgrade? If so is there a path I can take that retains the existing settings?

I would like to upgrade this with minimal protection to end users.

Hi,

I am afraid all settings will get lost if you update to any version later than 1.7.3.
The reason for this is PDFCreator was completely rewritten after version 1.7.3 and the available settings aren’t the same for both versions, as some became obsolete over time and others became available later on.
