Hey Robin,

we kind of do have the same problem in our company. There are a few users who have a special font (they bought it) and until version 0.89 it has been successfully converted to a pdf. Now we have version 1.23 and it doesn’t work anymore (same with version 1.51). Instead of the letters just the symbol user tomynoo mentioned appears (□).
Do you have any ideas regarding that?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Emin

Hi,

what application do you print from in your company?
Have you tried, printing the PDFs with the □ to paper?
In some cases, the letters whre not displayed correctly in the PDF viewer, but still showed up correctly once it was printed.

Robin

Hey Robin,

we use Microsoft Word 2003 with Windows XP, and also tried to print it to paper but it still showed the squares instead of fonts.

Thanks!

Hi,

could you try printing the same document (or just the font) from a different application?
We are trying to track down this problem.

Hello, I have experienced the same problem with Microsoft Word 2003 operating on Windows 7.  A unique font comes out as something similar to when it is printed to a PDF and viewed with Adobe Acrobat 10.1.4.  Thank you for the help addressing this.

Hello Robin,

we tried it also with Excel 2003 and the same problem occurs.
I also tried the solution from the user “stdizer” within the german forum (http://forums.pdfforge.org/discussion/9058/o-und-u-gleich-quadrat-im-erstellten-pdf), I replaced the pscript5.dll with another version and it didn’t work.

Hi,

it is a postscript problem, but it seems difficult to find a version which works for all fonts and all systems at the same time, we are still looking for a solution.

Hey,

I have a solution - Bullzip PDF Printer (don’t forget to install GhosScript Lite with the Package)
Problem solved.
