I've been taking part in discussion about error messages when creating pdf files under windows7. That's ongoing but here's another question...
When creating pdf from docx files, the resulting file size is large compared with pdf from a similar doc file. e.g an 8 MB docx file produces a 5 MB pdf. Saving the docx file as a doc gives an equivalent doc file size of about 5 MB which then converts to 1 MB pdf with the same pdfcreator settings.
I don't want to use doc source files as I lose facilities handling text boxes and images.
