Hi,
I have a PDF file which requires password to open it. After opening the file I am able to print the file in a normal printer. However, when I try to print the same file with PDF creator (for creation of new pdf file), it does not print. The output has two pages. The first page is blank and the second page contains this message…
ERROR: undefined
OFFENDING COMMAND: eexec
STACK:
/quit
-dictionary-
-mark
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi,
this is an error caused by ghostscript, which PDFCreator/Ghostscript version do you have installed?
regards,
Robin
PDF Creator 1.6.0
Hi,
have you tried printing it from a different aplication?
Hi,
I have tried using Adobe PDF printer application.
While doing so, a text message opens in NotePad application, which says,
%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
This PostScript file was created from an encrypted PDF file.
Redistilling encrypted PDF is not permitted.
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
Further, I have found one crude way.
The same file, if printed as image, (In Adobe Reader, Ctrl+P > Advanced > Print as Image, then PDF creation works. But the problem here is that the resultant PDF file does not have fonts. Its just an image. The text is not sharp. Overall viewing experience is not good.
Hope, this helps you in finding a solution.
Thanks
Hi,
sorry for the misunderstanding, I actually meant printing it to the PDFCreator from a different PDF viewer like foxit etc. (this often helps, but varies from case to case)
regards,
Robin
Hi,
Thanks for clarifying.
It works properly with PDF -XChange Viewer and Foxit, the two PDF readers I tested with.
Thanks
