Created PDF documents are appearing as PDF pictures

We have installed the PDF creator in one of our servers. But, the created PDFs are appearing as PDF pictures and is not allowing us to select/ copy any thing from it. Please help us in getting an editable PDF from PDF Creator.

Hi,

this depends on how the printing application sends the data to PDFCreator; if it is sent as a picture, PDFCreator can’t convert this into text, it doesn’t provide OCR. If it is sent as real text, PDFCreator will produce a document with real text which you can copy/search. If you can’t overcome this problem by printing from a different application or the document has no real text in the first place, you could have a look at our editor / alround solution PDF Architect, which offers an OCR module.

Our application is sending the data as a PDF which could be Selected/ copied to PDF Creator. But, the o/p from PDF Creator is coming as PDF pictures.

Hi,

is your application sending the PDF directly, or printing the PDF to the PDFCreator printer?
PDFCreator can process PDFs directly if you use drag&drop or the /PrintFile command line parameter.

We are sending PDF to PDF Creator. Background- We have configured the PDFCreator to our Application wherein the PDF files are sent from Application for printing to PDFCreator and the files are printed at a shared file. But these printed files are being saved as picture PDF wherein the user is unable to copy/ select the data.

Please help at earliest.

as said before, it is the printing application; please try using the direct conversion by using drag&drop or the command line.
