Disabling Options

I'd like to disable a couple of options in PDF Creator 0.9.8 and was looking for some information on how to do this.  I want to remove or gray out the option to "Install PDFCreator Browser Add On" in the General Settings 1 tab.  I'd also like to remove the option to check for updates and change the update interval.  Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like one thing I can do is to delete the Program Files\\PDFCreator\\BrowserAddOn director, to get rid of the Install PDFCreator Browser Add On.  Does anyone know of any problems with doing this?

Why not simply disable the checkbox while installing or if you have already installed it deinstall it via Control Panel => Software?

The software is installed on multiple PCs and the toolbar was not installed as part of the install.  You still however can select to install the Browser add on from the options window.  I have found though if I delete the BrowserAddOn folder then that option goes away.  The checking for updates is still a possibility and I'd like to find a way to remove this option.
