Encript password: bug or i do wrong?

I'm trying to encrypt all produced pdf with the same password. That is what I do:

 - insert in .ini file of setting this line: PDFOwnerPasswordString=the_my_pass

and : PDFUserPasswordString=the_my_pass_2.

- in "Option" - Format "PDF" - Security "PDFEnc"

and trying print - no pdf.

In another way if i set

- in "Option" - Format "PDF" - Security "Ghost Script 8..."

and trying print - pdf produced but without any security setting.

What is wrong? I tested PDFCreator 0.9.9 and 0.9.3 - the result is the same.

May anyone help me? Do anyone encrypt pass successfuly?

pardon my english

Please take a look at the help file. -> Hidden settings

Set your password in the registry!

I use pdfcreator 0-9-9. i inset password in custom .ini file and mount printer with this setting. The line i fix in .ini file: PDFOwnerPasswordString = my_pass.

if understood right -  anyway i must  insert PDFOwnerPasswordString=my_pass in registry?

ok. I insert in registry

PDFOwnerPasswordString = pass1

PDFUserPasswordString = pass2

close registry. drop file on print monitor. no pdf produced.

i test registry one more time - PDFOwnerPasswordString = pass1;PDFUserPasswordString = pass2 - is set

What wrong this way.

Please help - need absolutly hard.

PDFCreator 0.9.9 doesn't support ini-files. Only registry settings are allowed.

>ok. I insert in registry
>PDFOwnerPasswordString = pass1
>PDFUserPasswordString = pass2

Where have you set this? Have you checked the PDFCreator help file?

woow. i did it. GREAT THANKS for help.

but one thing goes wrong - after set registry key if you are changing option of security in pdfcreator interface - this action overides registry key value...to ''.

but it nothing for me.

Sorry but pass encrypting no so easy as lokk at first.

PDFOwnerPasswordString=the_my_pass

PDFUserPasswordString=the_my_pass_2

At Acrobat Reader pass encrypting is working/, but Acrobat Pro 9.0 opens it no asking pass.

Whart to do?

Hi,

set the both strings in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\PDFCreator\\Printing\\Formats\\PDF\\Security
