ERROR: undefined

I'm trying to print to PDF from an existing PDF file, so I can extract specific pages from a much larger document.  No matter how many (or few) pages are selected, the output is always a two page PDF, the first page being blank, the second with the following:
ERROR: undefined
OFFENDING COMMAND: eexec

STACK :

/quit

-dictionary-

-mark-

I have tried this on another PDF which seemed to work fine, any suggestions why this is happening?

Hi,

does the PDF you are printing from have password protection?

I'm having the same problem.  I just downloaded the most recent version onto my notebook (MS Vista).  I get the same ERROR message and blank pages.  It's from an online fillable PDF that was not a problem on any other computer so I'm wondering what's what.

Thanks for the help.

Do you happen to know if the other computers had the same Ghostscript version? This is usually a Ghostscript related error.

Robin

Yes, on a Secured Document with password protection.

Whats the workaround?

Print the document, scan the document, then use image conversion software to retrieve the text?

Any easier way?

You could try first converting to an image format and then re-converting to PDF, this is the workarround to get 1 file per page usually but could also help here.
