Hello, I have a user I just setup with PDFCreator. They would like to be able to skip past the dialog that allows you to enter created dates, user, etc. He still wants to be able to choose a custom save location, though. Is this possible?
I would like to see this option as well. If it's there I apologize, but I've looked through everything I think. Thank you for a great piece of software!
you can´t have autosave but still choose the saving location every time, but you can use autosave together with tokens like etc. and save the created PDFs to different paths automatically.
"This option to skip the save dialog is absolutely essential. Providing
this option to users would make PDFCreator very attractive."
This is not the point, since this has been possible for years by simply using the Autosave feature, the OP asked if it is possible to have Autosave, but choose a custom location for each file.
This option to skip the save dialog is absolutely essential. Providing this option to users would make PDFCreator very attractive.
By the way, while searching for a solution on that, I found the term “silent printing” (for batch printing). The software that is doing it is called eDocPrinter PDF Pro. I am sure PDFCreator can implement this option for us users
Thanks Robin, thanks for pointing out this existing feature. I am sure thousands of people don’t know that you named it “Auto-Save” But with this post, they will find out!
The issue that I have now: “Microsoft Word -” is put in the beginning of the file name, even though I just specified “” in the settings. – Edit: Solved! Use “” instead of “”! – Have a good day!
