How can I print from screen in Win XP?

I am trying to print a document from screen, using control P from windows XP.

How do I setup my printer also? 
New to this softare, suggestions welcome.

Hi,

you can´t simply print your screen by pressing control P, that will just send the print command to the active and focused application. Pressing the print button on your keyboard will save a screenshot to your clipboard, which you can then paste in for example paint and print it from there.
