Installing on a 2nd computer/laptop?

I’ve purchased PDFArchitect and a PDFArchitect 2 licenses. I just purchased a new laptop and would like to install it on my laptop, but am prevented from setting a valid license using my purchased key. Is it true I can’t run it on 2 computers that I own?

you can only run each license on one machine, but you can use the PDF Architect 1 license on one machine and the PDF Architect 2 license on the other.

My problem is the same but different.  I retired an old PC with PDF Architect 2 installed and activated, but cannot activate it on the replacement machine.  The old one was wiped and donated so it does me no good to have an activation for that machine.
