when I try to save a new document, the program stops with the error “Internal error Ghostscript” and the output is not created.
The same in PDF Creator 2.1.1 removed today morning before to install the new version.

Hi

I’m working on Windows 8.1 Pro with PDF Creator 2.1.1
I read elsewhere on the forum that the user should revert to this version to solve the problem, but it still gives me the same error message. Is there a way for me to send you the log file, so you can better understand my problem? I don’t really want to post it in public.

Hi,

please go to the application settings->debug, turn to logging level to trace, empty the log, print a windows test page and post the resulting log here or send it to support@pdfforge.org.
This should help to find the problem.

best regards,

Thanks, Robin, I’ve sent an email.

Hello Robin,
I’m having the same problem!
At this moment, I’m using Windows 7 Home Premium and I was using the PDF Creator 2.1.1, and now I’m using version 2.1.2.
This same problem was also happening with the previous version (2.1.1).
Here is the log file:

Thank you very much for your instructions!
Have a great weekend.
Best regards

Morning.
The error occurs the first time you try to print a document, just at that moment try to print it again and it works.
Regards.

Hi,
This occurs when I use “Auto-Save”, if the Windows-Username containes a unicode character, as ÄÖÜ. Not only the fist time, always.

See “Cl\303\241udio” in the example above.

Hi,

there is a general issue with Ghostscript 9.16 and unicode characters, which should get solved by reverting to PDFCreator 2.11 which still uses gs 9.14.
Ysbeers problem is a bit different, but for all other users so far, downgrading solved the problem.
It should of course also be fixed with the next PDFCreator release, we are currently having a close look on which gs version to use in future PDFCreator releases.

best regards,
