Issue with OpenCandy

I have version 2.0.1 installed on my PC at the office. I'm trying to install 2.0.2, but my corporate firewall wont even let me copy the install file from a flash drive to my hard drive. It says it found OpenCandy and flagged it as Malware.

I've read that you can install this product without OpenCandy with the /NOCANDY switch from a DOS prompt, but I can't even get the file on my hard drive to do that. In fact, the AV program (OfficeScan) physically deletes the install file from my flash drive whenever I try to copy it!!

Is there anywhere I can find a copy of 2.0.2 that doesn't include this adware? Is there a PAID version of the software that absolutely does NOT contain any adware? Any other workarounds that anyone knows about?

Thanks.

Hi,

yes there is an ad-free version available here for a small license fee:
http://www.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator/plus

The plus version doesn’t contain any adware (the free version will not install anything without your permission either, but can cause problems with firewalls as OpenCandy sometimes is seen as PUA) and will not give any problems with your firewall, but it will install our editor PDF Architect by default, if you don’t need it or prefer to install only the PDFCreator, you can remove it from the list of components during the setup or select a minimal installation. In case the firewall doesn’t allow PDFCreator to access the license server, please use the offline activation checkbox.

best regards,
