Not able to print

I first tried using both 2.4 and 2.3 versions and am running Windows Server 2008 R2

I set up a profile to have documents auto save to my documents folder. I then added a new printer and assigned the newly created profile.

Profile settings

Auto Save - Enable automatic saving, Ensure Unique
Format is set to PDF

When I print a test page to the printer, the windows print queue for the printer shows the job passing through, but no pdf is made.

I did adjust the permissions for the temp and AppData folder as was suggested in the FAQ with no success.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

are you printing a windows or PDFCreaotor testpage or a testpage from your application/ a remote machine? You can set the logging level to “trace” in the debug tab of the application settings to get additional information on the cause of the error.

Best regards,

Robin

A PDF Creator test page is successful, but a windows test page is not. It’s like Windows and PDF creator aren’t communicating. When I open the log when set to trace it shows the data releated to the PDF Creator test page, but nothing for a Windows test page.

Regards,

Hi,

the PDFCreator test page will only convert an already existing postscript file to PDF without going through any printing/spooling. The Windows test page will go through the spooler, so it seems this is where it is getting stuck. When you print something to the PDFCreator printer, do .ps and .inf files get generated in %temp%\PDFCreator\spool ?

Best regards,

Robin

When I send the Windows test page request. a PS and INF file is generated in %temp%\PDFCreator\spool
