I like saving a long page of html as a single page pdf file. I use PdfCreator as my main pdf printer on Windows 7. I also use Xubuntu 13.10.
1. Paper-Size Limitation
For PdfCreator on Windows 7, I see that the “PostScript Custom Page Size” has the maximum value for Width and Height. It is 200 inch (5080 mm; 14400 pt).
What is the reason for the limitation ?
Is there anything I can do to have the page height, say, 7.500 mm ?
2. Saved-Settings of Custom Paper-Size
For the pdf printer on Xubuntu, I can set my custom paper size. The setting is saved in the folder “/home/myusername” in the file “.gtk-custom-papers”.
The following is the contents of that file (in millimeter):
--------------------
[paper0]
Name=Paper5000
DisplayName=Paper5000
Width=210
Height=5000
MarginTop=5
MarginBottom=5
MarginLeft=5
MarginRight=5
Orientation=portrait
[paper1]
Name=Paper7500
DisplayName=Paper7500
Width=210
Height=7500
MarginTop=5
MarginBottom=5
MarginLeft=5
MarginRight=5
Orientation=portrait
[paper2]
etc. etc.
-------------------
Can I have the similar saved-settings of custom paper-size by using PdfCreator on Windows7 ?
Thanks
Hi,
you can define your own formats with the Windows Print Management tool (built in Windows tool).
It is possible that the limit of the custom postscript papersize is limited by postscript/windows.

Robin

On Windows 7, what is the exact name of that feature?
I search “Windows Print Management”, but there is no such feature.
Do you mean the one discussed on the following site?:

Thanks
.
Yes,
if you search for Print Management (without Windows), you will find it.
