PDF Architect convert to image - Increase resolution of image

I need to convert PDFs to image files (jpg, png…), I have the convert module but the images it produces are not high enough resolution. Can the resolution be changed?

Hi,

which resolution is the PDF and what is the resulting resolution of the image?
It is not possible to increase the resolution over that of the original PDF.

Robin

Sure, if the original PDF include bitmapped images, then I understand the resolution limitation. However, for vector graphics or text in the PDF (as text, not as an image) then the resolution of the output image (bitmapped) is still not great. Typically >=300dpi would be needed, or e.g. an output image of, say, 3k x 5k pixels total

I have the same problem. I am using PDF Architect as a print driver to create the pdf in the first place, and I have set the output resolution to 3600 dpi.

Things look good when the pages are opened in PDF Architect, but then I use it to convert to image, then open the image with GIMP, and it is always a 793x1122 image that corresponds to a page of A4, which is obviously completely unacceptable.

So it doesn’t matter what I do, the image output is useless.

Hi,

have you tried changing the image format?
Do you have the latest version of PDF Architect installed?
Is the PDF you create in first place A4? Otherwise i don´t see a reason why it should produce an A4 image, i just tested it here and a hi res image converted properly without any change of resulotion.
