Hi,
I'm currently using PDFCreator 0.9.8. It is not the newst version I know, but I would guess that the problem also appears with 0.9.9. I will try to update to 0.9.9 but I have multiple machines and would rather stay with 0.9.8 if possible.
The problem is that somehow the choosing between colour or black&white printouts doesn't have any impact on the generated PDF.
Let me explain. I have multiple standard installation in place on different machines and did not change anything on the configuration. When I open a Webpage on IE and I print it using the PDF Creator I can choose between Black&White or Colour output. It works as you would expect.
If I open an PDF in Adobe Reader and want to convert it with the PDF Creator I always get a black&white PDF, even if I choose colour. In case you are wondering why I want to convert a PDF to PDF. Im trying to merge multiple PDFs with the PDFCreator.
To make it even complicated. I tried to solve this problem with one of the machines and switched quite a bit on the Printer Driver Settings. I switched every option to colour that I found and now I do get colour outputs from Adobe Reader, but ONLY colour. Now I can't get Black&White Outputs.
I'm quite confused right now. I mean I prefer colour outputs from the Adobe Reader, but I need to understand what I must change so that I can reconfigure all the other machines as well.
Is anybody aware of this problem with Adobe Reader and knows what settings I have to change to be able to freely switch between B&W and Colour or at least the settings I need to always get colour outputs by Adobe?
Thanks a lot.
PS: If the description is to confusing ;) let me know and I will try to come up with a better description.
Edit: Sorry, I have to correct myself. It is not a problem between Adobe Reader and PDF Creator as I thought before, it must be a only Adobe Reader problem as I cannot even print Grayscale on a hardware color printer. It’s really strange that the option from the printer menu does not have any effect. But thats something I should clear with the Adobe Support.
Thank you
