I have just installed 1.2.0, after using an earlier version for 4 or 5 years.
I have tried 2 test conversions, which worked fine. But neither document can be deleted from the queue - or perhaps the document is deleted and immediately reinstated at the bottom of the queue. I have tried every normal method of deletion, without success. I have tried restarting the computer, they are still in the queue.
I must have a wrong setting somewhere - but what ?
Given the resounding silence, I have worked away on analysing the problem.
PDFCreator has made the folder PDFCreatorSpool inside the folder Program Files/PDFCreator/Temp; but in operation, PDFCreator (running in standard user mode) does not seem to have or to apply for the rights to delete files in this location. I can force PDFCreator to have these rights by starting it in Administrator mode - but this runs counter to Windows philosophy, which is to reduce danger by having programs running most of the time in standard user mode, applying for extra rights when necessary.
Is there a solution? Can I force PDFCreator to create and use a different PDFCreatorSpool within user space?
In the face of silence I have continued to analyse the problem.
PDFCreator has created its spooling folder as C:\\Program Files\\PDFCreator\\Temp\\PDFCreatorSpool. But the program (running in standard user mode) does not seem to have the necessary rights to delete files in this location. I can force the program to have those rights, by RunAs Administrator. But that is not good practice.
Can the spooling folder be created in user space instead?

I had the same problem but slightly different. I run PDFCreator in user mode but when I print a document from a program running as administrator, the document remains in the queue as PDFCreator can't delete it. The workaround is the same... delete the file manually from C:\\Program Files (x86)\\PDFCreator\\Temp\\PDFCreatorSpool directory.
I have now effected a permanent cure, by manually changing the Security for the PDFCreatorSpool folder, so that Users may now delete Subfolders and Files within the PDFCreatorSpool folder.
I am disappointed that I have had to do this. And I am very disappointed that there has been no assistance at all from pdfforge.
