PDF creator on WIN8

I installed the PDF creator on a new win8 pc.

Test page is printed perfect.

When I start the program to print a document it looks that it works good, but the PDF file is not placed in the specified location and the PDF doc does not open automatically as I specified in the options setting.

Can anyone help?

does the PDF get created in the wrong place, or not at all?
Do you have a default viewer for PDF installed?

Thank you for the prompt response.
There are no other PDF apps but ABBY only.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version 1.6.2 of PDF Creator.
It looks that the problem is when I try to print a WORD document (Office 10).
Printing the test page or an Excel or internet page works correctly.

Printing a WORD doc brings me to the save screen, and after clicking save the PDF logo flashes but no printing occurs.
