PDFCreator test page vs Windows test page

A new istallation of PDFCreator Business 3.5.1 on a Windows 10 client set to autosave.
Creating the PDFCreator test page works as expected.
However the Windows test page is not created as expected.
No file shows up in the autosave folder, BUT if you close PDFCreator and relaunch PDFCreator, THEN the Windows testpage pops up at the autosave folder.
Same behaviour if I try to create a pdf from any other file, it only become visible after a PDFCreator restart.

Any ideas why this happens?
What is the difference between creating a PDFCreator test page and a Windows test page?

I have tried reinstallation, checked user rights etc.

Hi @J0la,

The PDFCreator test page is an internal tool which only tests PDFCreator's internal functionality.
The Windows test page goes through the Windows spooler and the printer. If the Windows test page isn't working, there's an issue with the printing/spooling.

I assume a fresh reinstallation (it's important to manually delete the pdfcmon.dll) and (if you're on Windows 7, 8 or older) a .NET Update (get the .NET Runtime here: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net472) will fix the issue.
