Hello, The new PDFArchitect interface is great! nice work! I tried opening up a multi-page pdf after merging them with the new features but PDFArchitect literaly bogs down the whole system and makes computer unusable. I tried it multiple times to make sure it was not the computer and or a glitch. Also, the computer is a 2.5ghz quad core xeon and with hyperthreading that is 8 cores, with 8gb of RAM. I just don’t think this is a computer issue because Adobe PDF Professional works just fine. The PDFs are bigger in the 24x36 range but should still work.
Hi,
do you have the latest version installed? I was not able to recreate this behaviour here.
regards,
Robin
Yes I have put the latest version on multiple computers and have reproduced the problem every time. The PDFs tested are Arch D 24x36 and Arch E1 30x42 at about 57 pages. The PDF sheets where created by AutoCAD. Would not mind paying for the professional but the free doesn’t seem to handle the the larger amount of sheets with text and lines, would there be any difference between how the free and the pro version handles? Works well with 8.5x11 though.
Actually just PDF Architect gets slow I can still access the computer just no the PDF architect program. There is a lot of CPU usage when trying to zoom, pan, and scroll these big drawings and nothing is happening and it will not zoom, pan, or scroll.
Hi,
there seems to be some bug with PDFArchitect where huge logfiles are created for some reason, can you check if this could also be the cause for the problems on your machine?

Robin
