When scanning documents I use PDFCreater to create a pdf. The scann contains OCR information, but PDFCreator produces an image for each whole page. Is there a way to make a pdf in which text can be selected, marked etc.?
Hi,
which format are the scanns in before you convert them with PDFCreator?
It usually depends on the printing application, whether text is created as text or as image.

Robin
Hi,
it depends mainly on the printing application, so maybe using not imaging but something else could help solving the problem.

Robin
Thanks for your reply Robin,
After scanning the document opens in Microsoft Document Imaging. I can either save as tiff or export the OCR text to a Word document. Only text is exported.
Before I used a HP scanner with HP software, and the pdf's printed from this software were searchable. Now I use the scaner from a Ricoh printer/copier (simpel twain driver) and I only manage to create the 'image' pages. Or should I use other software?
