Got a problem that I have got a scheduled task running on a virtual machine. This task creates a print out and I wanted PDF creator to save this print out in a file.
This works fine provided you are logged on to the virtual machine as the user set up for the task. But if you are not logged on at all or not logged in as the user then PDFcreator doesn't work and the print out seems to dissapear.
Can anyone help?
I’m using Windows 7 and have version 1.4.3 of PDF creator (which by the way triggers my Sophos Antivirus when you try and instal)
Hi,
please enable logging in the print monitor (by pressing F3 or selecting it from the menu) and run the task without the user logged in, then post the result here or send it to us by mail.

Robin

Hi,
sorry I didn’t see your second post at first.
this is most likely fixed in later versions, please update to 1.7.2 if possible.
regards,
Robin
Updated to 1.7.2 and still no file created
I tried it, but the dos prompt they use doesn’t work. It acts as if you are just typing in sc /? also i’m not working on a server its just a virtual machine. Also if i try and get the svrany.exe, windows 7 doesn’t like it saying it has compatability issues with this file.
Ok,
I did the whole setup by making a virtual print server and changing the cmd around so that it had the arguments the correct way round and IT WORKS!!
Oh also PDF Creator needs to be installed on the PC you want to link it to because it needs the "drivers" for the printer
Thank you!!
