maybe its is in use.
some times dll's are shared for several products...
reset the computer.
if you can't delete after reset you could unregister this using regsvr32 before the delete.
Hi
but I reset the computer and still the same problem. I dragged the .dll file on the desktop, I created a text file with the same name and I overwrote it, then I changed "dll" for 'txt'. Now on the desktop, I have a 'pdfcmnnt.txt ' file that I still can't delete!!!
There is something in this file, whatever its name, you can not remove
txt have nothing to relate with the problem.
you must search each possible intance of the .dll file and then run unregister with them:
some as winkey+R then type
regsvr32.exe /U yourfilename.dll
reference: pc-washer.com/optimize-windows/unregister-dll.php
After the unregister you would try to delete the dll file.
If you can't unregister or delete then maybe the dll is used by other program you're running. One dll file can be shared for a lot of programs.
IF this is the case there are some tools available that can help you in founding if the dll are in use, maybe sysinternals
