Uninstall previous version

I couldn't install newest version because I had a previous version installed. I then ran an unistaller to delete the previous version. The installer for the new version still says I have a previous version installed and stops. How do I complete deletion of previous version?

Maybe you have to manually delete or remove the installed files and clean up the registery keys.

Run the setup with the parameter /ForceInstall.

Hi,

I have the same problem but when using /ForceInstall it tells me that the printername is busy and to choose a new name.

Since I'm trying to automate this installation for software distribution I do not want to choose a new name.

This is the command I'm trying to use

PDFCreator>PDFCreator-setup.exe /COMPONENTS="program,languages\\english" /ForceInstall /VERYSILENT

If PDFCreator is already installed the above command fails.

Please advice.

Regards Jan.

I used the scrpit janisraelsson above provided. Before using it I removed the original pdfcreator folder and the pdfprinter from the printers file.

After that the script worked well and the pdfcreator vers 0.9.9 was installed - and worked - perfectly.

I had previous version of the programme installed and I could not removed it because of missing istallation information. But this is how I get the things straight.

I understand that it's free PDF creator. yet I believe that by suggesting new version, no need to uninstall the the previous version before you install the new version. understand that most users believe this procedure cumbersome and prefer not to do.
Excuse the English translation is from google.
