V1.7.1 Crashing when opening Options

I am running a Windows 2008 r2 box with Citrix XenApp 6.

I used to have v 1.2.x and am updating to v 1.7.1.

I have removed the old version, rebooted, “Change user /Install”, install app, “Change user /Execute”, reboot.
I installed without PDF Architect or Image2PDF.

The app works perfectly, but if i try and open the options, the app just hangs forever.
Has anyone seen this before ?
I’ve repeated the process a few times with no change

Hi,

there is some other user who has the exact same issue, we havn´t found out why it is happening yet. I would link you to it but its all in geman.
Could you please enable logging, do a printjob and post the resulting log here?

please also try our preview version of PDFCreator written in C#:

Not everything is finished yet, but it should run on terminal servers
and
it will probably be much faster to find/fix a bug in the new version.

Going to try the C# release now.

The c# version works ok.

When will this be a public release ?

Or is there an older version that doesn’t have the issue that I could try ?

Hi,

there is no exact release date yet, but is getting a bit more complete every day.
I am not sure, which older versions don´t have this problem, but they are all still available on sourceforge.
