I am slowly rolling out Windows 7. What I do is install all necessary applications under the local administrator account. Once I've done all my tweaking I copy the local admin profile to the default user profile. I do recall when installing this same product on XP it would ask if I wanted to make it available to all users of the computer or only the installer. Naturally I selected all users. Windows 7 does not ask this question during installation.
My problem with pdfforge is one many others have run into. When a normal user with non-admin rights tries to print to the PDFCreator printer, an error pops up basically saying they can't access C:\\Users\\Administrator\\AppData\\Temp\\PDFCreator\\PDFCreatorSpool.
I've gone through the registry and changed all instances of PrinterTempPatch from its default to C:\\Temp, which normal users have modify rights to. This did not resolve the problem. My workaround for now was to give the user rights to the path listed above that was giving the error.
I'm hoping someone has a fix for this.
