Word & excel start and stop extreemely slowly since I have loaded pdfcreator

It’s almost impossible to start or stop 2007 word and Excel in Windows 7 once I loaded the pdfcreator and pdfforge on my system.

Is there a fix or should I just remove these program?

Hi,

the only thing which could be related to this is the office integration for PDF Architect.
You can remove this seperately by going to your Windows Control Panel -> Programms& Features, select the PDF Architect from the list and press the modify button.
Now deselect the office integration from the list.

Robin

Robin,
Deselecting from the Microsoft Office worked extremely well - thanks are very fast now!!!

Is this problem going to be fixed?  It would be nice to have PDF Architect attached but now with the degradation in performance it has now.

Hi,

first we need to find out why for some users this is so slow and for others it doesn’t seem to be a problem. Could you tell us a little bit about your hardware (CPU and RAM)?

regards,

Robin

Sure:
Operating System       Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
CPU       Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.20GHz    Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology
RAM          8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz
Motherboard     Dell Inc. 042P49 (CPU 1)    28 °C
Graphics        VG1932 SERIES (1440x900@60Hz)   Intel HD Graphics (Dell)
Microsoft Office Pro 2007

Thank you,

hardware doesn’t seem to be the issue then.
Does the PDF Architect itself also take so long to start?
In this case it might be related to a connection issue, as PDF Architect contacts our license server on every startup.

Robin

Doesn’t seem too slow to me.  There is a little hesitation as compared to other programs but nothing unusual.  I am on a fiber optic internet service and its plenty fast for what I do.
