Add offset to page

Hi,

I’d like to create a special profile for pdfcreator which adds an offset to the page (e.g. add 10 mm white space to the left). Is there any setting to do that, or does anybody know a script I could modify?

Thanks in advance
Martin

Hi,

I know this is not exactly what you are looking for, but if you are always printing to the same format, you could define a new format with the windows print management with a 10mm margin on the left.

best regards

no, that’s not exactly what I need - I print to A4.  Here’s my scenario: We use a business software to generate offers, invoices etc. Sometimes we print directly to paper, which already has the heading on it, sometimes we print to PDF combining the print output from our software with an existing PDF which contains the heading into one document (I use a modified AddWatermark script to do that). So far so god.
Unfortunately the print output from our business software comes with 10 mm offset on the left when printing to paper, but without that offset when printing to pdf. Don’t ask me why! To get identical results I could work with an offset added by pdfcreator when using my “print to headed paper” profile… Do you get the picture?

Hi,

I think I get the picture, but I still think defining a new paper format is the best solution, but maybe I’m mistaken: If you create a new paperformat (A4 with a 10 mm margin on the left) and use this as the default papersize for the PDFCreator printer, everything printed to the PDFCreator printer will have a 10mm offset on the left.
If you only need the offset sometimes, you can create an additional PDFCreator printer so you have one with and one without an offset.
You could also try using the latest PDFCreator beta, it is a completely rewritten version so it might act differently on this task.
