I followed several guides in this forum to setup PDFCreator at a service on 2008 server. My goal was to set the driver up as auto save. I was moderately successful as the print driver is exposed to client machines and when selected it will auto-save the file per the registry settings. It does not however perform the “after auto-saving open the document with the default program.” Does anyone have this option working in a server environment?
Hi,
which is the default program for opening PDFs on the server?
Are there any errors, or is it just nothing happening?
regards,
Robin
Thanks Robin! The default PDF viewer is Adobe XI. The default on the client is NitroPDF though. I do not see any errors on the server and the file is saved to the auto save directory. The PDF does not display however even though it is marked “after auto-saving open the document with the default program”.
Hi,
have you tried to set the default program to the same on client on server (though this shouldn´t matter)?
Thank you again Robin. We have worked through these issues.
