Hi Guys,
It's not easy to write this. And I mean no disrespect to any of the development team. But PLEASE act on the repeated comments about malware in your program.
I've used this program for quite a while - excellent, simple and way cool. It's one I would GLADLY pay $$'s towards.
Just tell me how much and I'm onto it pronto ;)
What I don't like is that despite NOT electing to install the now infamous spyware toolbar stuff, the damn thing still get into my system. I cannot understand your reasons for including this rubbish into what is and otherwise excellent program. By doing so, you damage the product's reputation (brand) and cause unnecessary annoyance (at least) and harm (to most).
I resent my Firefox & IE autosearch being hijacked by malware of any type and generally feel perfectly entitled to visit grief upon the distributors. I resent having to edit my registry to manually remove crappy malware keys.
This continued practice reflects poorly on the PDF Creator team and people can be forgien for thinking that there is some unholy relationship between you guys and the malware crooks.
Honestly, if the reason is financial - then charge me a reasonable licence fee and I will happily pay but only if that means NO MALWARE (ever). Your hardwork deserves financial compensation - that's fair. But please understand that your continued 'sneaky' (no other word fits) practice of deliberately infecting PC's with malware reflects poorly on you all.
Alternately, release a small utility that entirely removes all malware files and registry entries so that those who, like me, prefer their software to be clean - can easily and confidently remove this unholy crap.
I LOVE your work and it is really an excellent tool so PLEASE practice more ethical coding standards. There are better (ethical) ways of doing business or being an enthusiast.
This is just so sad - really.
From an otherwise very happy user.
Mike - Australia
