Cannot find gsdll32

I upgraded my pdf creator and it comes up with this message:  Cannot find gsdll32. Please check the ghostscript-program directory (see options)

Any assistance would be greatful

Hi,

usually reinstalling PDFCreator solves this issue.

I have the same problem. I’ve reinstalled PDFCreator twice with no remedy. This only happened since I’ve updated to 1.7.2 on Windows Vista

I am having the same problem and need to know where to go from here. I found a free fix online but after scanning and trying to fix the problem the app requests a purchase to fix computer problems none of which mention the gsdll32 problem. RIP OFF.

So what do we do here and how does this affect using PDF Creator?

Hi,

there is a bug in the 1.7.2 installer which won’t install ghostscript when choosing “minimal installation”, ever though it is required for PDFCreator to function.
If you use a full or custom setup (make sure ghostscript is checked) it should work again.

I installed 1.7.2 “full” as a windows 7 standard user. During install the system asked for an administrator users password. I entered it and installation finished without error.

However PDF Creator couldn’t find gsdll32.dll. When I logged in as the administrator user used during installation, PDF Creator worked as expected.

I assume that the standard or restricted user’s environment doesn’t get set up properly. Can you do something to the installation routine for handling this kind of cases?
