Using PDFCreator Plus 2.0, I am trying to print a huge JPG image in landscape format onto Ledger sized paper. When I open the final printed PDF file in Adobe Acrobat, what I am expecting to see is a landscape format image, with the Ledger page oriented in Landscape.
What I get instead is the image turned sideways, onto a Ledger page that is oriented in Portrait mode. So the image is oriented to the page correctly, but the page is displayed in Portrait. How do I set things so that the image will open up in landscape with the page displayed in landscape?
Any possibility to get a response here?
Hi,
did you set the orientation to landscape under profile settings->PDF->Page Orientation?
best regards,
I am talking about the PDF Creator print driver. When I set to landscape while printing the original image, I do set to landscape and ledger size paper. The PDF document that you create is in Portrait mode…

Hi,
what is your setting for profile settings->PDF->Page orientation?
It is auto-select by default, but you might need to change it to landscape in addition to setting this while printing.
best regards,
You can try setting the orientation to be Portrait for the Ledger size and it should print in landscape orientation. It look like this has been a bug in PDFCreator since at least version 1.2.3.
Hi,
it has always been a problem, as the automatic detection (which is handled by ghostscript) can only use certain parameters like “how much text is there in a 90° angle towards which side of the page” providing a good chance to get the correct orientation but never with 100% accuracy.
best regards,
