CANT search word in PDF after being created

once i create a PDF doc   and try to search on a word in the pdf it cant find it..

i have tried 1.00     1.01    1.20        and ghost scripts 8.70   8.71   9.02    and still cant search  and find a word in the doc...

 

any fixes out there

Hello,

some clever guys found out, that this is caused by the hardware acceleration in Firefox 4: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/760923

So if you disable it, you will have searchable documents again.

Hi,

I have this same problem but the user is printing from google chrome. Some of the smaller documents printed are searchable but a large 250+ page document comes out unsearchable and editable. Any Ideas?

Hi,

I am not aware of any way to get Chrome to print real text, you might need to use a different browser.
