Hello,
i have a PC with Adobe 9.1 Pro and Adobe Reader installed. When i double click to a PDF it opens the reader.
When i create a PDF with PDFCreator the Adobe Acrobat Pro will be opened after creation.
What can i do that after creation the Adobe Reader will be used and not the Adobe Acrobat Pro?
Best regards
Stefan

I think i solved my problem, in the Reistry i changed in this path:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\AcroExch.Document\\CurVer
The default entry from AcroExch.Document.7 to AcroExch.Document
Best regards
Stefan
I am having the same problem with Acrobat 5.0 and the Reader both installed. Upon creating the PDF, PDFCreator opens Acrobat rather than Reader.
But I am reluctant to modify my registry. Is there no option setting in Acrobat that controls that registry key?
I was able to find another thread with a different approach and this works in the the Command Prompt:
ftype acroexch.document.7="C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Reader 9.0\\Reader\\AcroRd32.exe" "%1"
See www.pdfforge.org/forum/help/5241-print-job-opening-wrong-version-adobe
But I wonder if it will be necessary to update this by hand when Reader goes to version 10.0?
Thanks!
