I’m trying to find a work around for the 1.5 issue on terminal servers by installing 1.4.3. Our initial install of 1.4.3 does not seem to alleviate the problem. I have NOT read anywhere that earlier versions of the product worked via terminal servers but rather acquired that belief from reading the administrators earlier comments that the 1.5.1 problem was a bug. Anyway, does nayone have this working?
Hello,
maybe there was a problem while uninstall the pdfcmon.dll. Please check that it is removed after uninstalling PDFCreator (located in system32) and before you reinstall PDFCreator. Then it should work (if it would have worked for you in that version). In the next days we will release PDFCreator 1.6.0 which will hopefully fix this whole area of issues.
kind regards,
Philip
We have uninstalled again and completely removed all files from the deployment directory. We reinstalled but it still is not working as expected. We are still using the instructions that were given to attempt to install 1.5.1 on a terminal server. Is this still the correct steps?
Hi,
yes the method of installation hasn´t changed. (http://www.pdfforge.org/content/installation-terminal-server)
The main problem is the way session IDs are assigned differently in almost each windows version, if you like you can send us a mail and we can supply you with a updated .dll which should solve this problem.
regards,
Robin
Thank you Robin we will pursue acquiring the updated dll.
With version 1.6.0, this issue is solved for us (Windows Server 2003, Citrix XenApp). We’re looking forward for the stable release.
We have version 1.6.0 working as well.
