Error Nr: 53 - File not found: gsdll32.dll

 Hello,

I get the following error when i try to combine documents when using PDF Creator.

Error Nr: 53 - File not found: gsdll32.dll

I think it used to work fine at one point, but this bug got in somehow. And now everytime i try to combine documents, i get this error.

Any advice please?

I get this error as well - but under different circumstances. (using 1,2,3)

I tried using the Document Properties 1/Stamp option.

when this field is clear no problems - when this field has a value then it is a bit hit and miss. I tried 3 documents - 2 work, one doesn't. Always the same one.

and never fails when this option is clear.

Consulted the GS forum it says that GS might need a path to the gs_init file, but I cant see that one exists.

Hello,

please try uninstalling PDFCreator (and let it delte all settings) and install it again. Something seems to be damaged.

I already did that - it didnt help.

I have found that when it occurs I can 'exit program' in the error message.

The job seems to stay in the spooler, so when I open PDFCreator directly it automatically re-starts the job and then occasionally in this 2nd attempt I am  seeing'401 Can't show non-modal form when modal form is displayed'. selecting 'next command' allows the job to complete and the pdf produced contains no errors
