Font changing while filling out form

Hi!  I’m filling out a PDF that’s a form and I’m running into an issue.  Yesterday I filled out about half of the form and saved it.  When I opened it today to continue working on it, the font is now completely different and I have no idea how to change it.  Is there a way to change the font so it is consistent on the entire form?

Thanks!

Erin

Hi,

the font can be set in the properties of each form field individually, it should be Arial by default.
However, this can only be done for each form field individually and it should not change without setting the font manually. Is it a reproducable problem or did it only happen once?

best regards,

It’s repeatable, it happens every time I open a PDF that’s a form that someone else created.  The first time I open it and start filling it out it defaults to one font, but then if I save it and reopen it it defaults to another font.  I’m also still not sure how to change the font back based on your response.

Thanks!

Erin

Hi,

if someone else created the form, you might not be able to select the font, as the font is defined during the form creation. I at first didn’t understand the problem correctly and thought you meant forms you had created.
You can check if you can checnge the font for a form filed by going into edit mode, right clicking on the form field and selecting properties. If the PDF isn’t protected you should be able to change to font for each form field individually.
Probably the PDF Architect will allow you to select any font for filling in the PDF, but on saving it will use the font set in the properties of the form field.

best regards,
