How do I remove the Bookmark Panel when viewing? It gets distracting and I do not seem to find a way to close it??

Click My Account Icon upper right corner,
Choose Properties from the list on the left.
Choose Initial Page, this will give a list of choices only one of which has the bookmarks menu.
