Is PDFCreator_COM still supported or have some features been deprecated with PDF Creator v6.0.1

I have an old Visual Basic app that still worked with the pro version 4.4.2.1 without issues.

We installed pro version 6.0.1 on another machine and we are getting Class not Registered errors.

I tried SetupHelper.exe /ComInterface=Register suggested in one of the posts but got error:
DotNet Core 8 runtime not found

Take a look at the Change log:

Incompatible changes

  • Due to refactoring, the COM interface is currently not available for PDFCreator Free.

I am using the Pro version. Will you continue to support a 32-bit version of PDFCreator_COM?

Don't switch immediately to this new completely redesigned version.

My advice is to stay with the latest working version and wait for the new one to fix all the important bugs and be well documented.

Among other things, in the change log they talk about refactoring the COM interface which most likely also includes a redesigned interface.
