Justified Text and missing embedded images

More than a few times I find PDF Creator to be justifying the text on a page especially when the document has embedded images. It will print the first page or two with images then not print the remainder images and the text around the images is then justified on one side or the other of the page.

This link shows what happens when I simply click, print: http://www.mediafire.com/view/5rrq6aa3dl6rbr5/PDFPrintSample.png

If I didn’t change the document to print in landscape mode, the text becomes left justified on the right side of the page, two or three words per line. The web page to be captured is only 4-5 pages worth of printing long, but because PDFCreator is acting funny, the text + images it’s suppose to capture becomes 15-20 pages.

Sometimes I need to hit the print button a few times, refresh the page, exit Firefox, and repeat a few times, it finally out puts a decent copy of what I wanted printed, but even then sometimes it has inserted blank pages in the beginning, middle and end of a document. Or it will print the first page fine, then the image (if a page has an image), then a blank space for 2-3 pages, then the text until it encounters another image where it’ll insert 2-3 blank pages after the image or not then the following text.

Hi,

have you tried printing it to a physical printer?
A lot of the time, it is the printing application which causes these “layouts”.
In Firefox try going to print->setup page and enable "print background (colours and images)"

regards,

Robin

I usually turn off background colour printing for physical print jobs. When I turned it back on and tried to print to PDF, it added the background colours but not the images, and the text was still only on the right side. Then I exited - refreshed the page and tried a 2nd time. It added the images the second time. How odd that it didn’t do it the first time. Well at least I don’t have to repeat it another dozen times or so. I guess hitting print to PDF twice is better than hitting it 10+ times now. Thanks for the suggestion Robin.

Hi,

you can also try printing from a different browser, if that is suitable for you.

Robin

Don’t like MSIE (never have), can’t use Chrome anymore (loads but unusable), so Firefox which I prefer is my only choice and with all it’s add-on’s, fits my needs. Opera… is okay, but doesn’t have the specific functions from add-on’s I like using in Firefox. This is the site I was trying to print to PDF for you to test if it does the same thing for you: http://www.howtogeek.com/115297/how-to-root-your-android-why-you-might-want-to/

I often print to PDF instead of physically printing and for the longest time PDF Forge was my top used driver and I liked the ability to print out an entire website to save the contents without saving the link, or having the link disappear due to web page changes or other reasons why links or content may change over time. At least I don’t have to hit the print button more than a dozen times since turning on background image printing, so I guess it’s better. But this only happens on some types of sites like the above link. On other sites it works fine.

Thanks again Robin.
