Large images are split in two

Hi


I am using PDF Creator v1.7.2 and have come across some strange behaviour regarding the generation of embedded images with large dimensions.

If I convert a Word document (doc or docx format) containing an image with a height approximately greater than 810 pixels (1062x1501 in this case), in the resultant PDF the image is split - although it appears as one image, simple highlighting shows it is now two images. For a similar image but with dimensions 665x754, the image is not split.

I noticed this as I take the resultant PDF and extract the images from it. I am only expecting one image to be extracted but instead, I receive two.

Has anyone seen this behaviour before and if so, how do I configure PDF Creator to not split the image up.

Hi,  


I am not sure if it is related, but have you tried setting a larger papersize in the PDFCreators printer properties? Maybe that could help. Otherwise i need to ask our devs.

Could you tell me exactly what option you mean?

I have tried using a custom page size under the tab Printer->Options->Document->Document properties 2 but that makes no difference. Is this the option you meant?

Is it possible that v1.7.3 would resolve this problem?

I will happily send you a Word document which highlights the problem if that helps the devs.

Do you have an email address I can send the sample files to? I have downloaded v1.7.3 this evening and it has made no difference - the tall images are still split.
