Moving a PDFCreator install to a different PC

Hi,

I’ve uninstalled the business edition of PDFCreator from one PC and would like to install on another.

Currently it won’t do this as it tells me the license is in use. Is there a way to do this?

I would potentially like to roll this out to our Contact Centre, but won’t bother if it’s too difficult to get support or information.

Regards
Kris

Hello Kris,

I have blocked the activation on the old System, so you can now activate PDFCreator on the new one.

If you have further questions, you may contact us at support@pdfforge.org

best regards,

Cay

Hi Cay,

I’m trying to install on our test PC. It’s telling me that the maximum of 1 licenses exceeded.

I’ve physically uninstalled from the previous guinea pig PC.

Cheers,
Kris

Ok, it worked on my PC. I still have a problem though. Our Contact Centre currently utilise a different Win 7 build in a different OU. I’ll have to do a bit of digging around.
I’d like to setup a better test and that’s to build a new Contact Centre PC and test the OU scenario.
I would appreciate very much if you could reset it once more for me?

Cheers,
Kris

Hi Kris,

I have also blocked the new activation. You can use the license key again now.

Cay

Hi Cay,
I need to know is if it’s possible to get a bulk license option; E.g. a single license for 100 PC’s.
As we routinely wipe and re-image the PC’s it would be a drain of resources to have to contact PDFForge for every time we re-image a batch of PC’s.
Any thoughts?

Hi Kris,

I have adjusted your license, so that you shouldn’t run into any problems, when wiping and re-imageing the PC you are using the license on.

best regards,

Cay

Hi Cay,
I appreciate the solution, however the way I read it each license is tied to a specific PC.
We use Microsoft’s mdt solution to create and maintain our builds, consequently the image will contain a generic PDFCreator install. Ideally I would require a single bulk license that covered N number of PC’s. Is that achievable?
