Multiple Printers, Profiles and Watermarks

We use two different types of headed paper and I would like to provide our users with a simple way of printing to whichever one they need.

Is it possible to set up different PDF printers each configured with a different watermark for each letterhead so the user can just select the printer they need?

If so is this done using profiles?

If not are there any other alternatives which are not too technical?

Hi,

this is rather easy. If you have set up your profiles, you have to start PDFCreator as Administrator. In the main menu, you find an entry Printer -> Printers

There you can define associations between printers and profiles.

I'm only just just looking into this as a potential solution but so far it's looking very promising.

Can you also confirm if an image can be used for the watermark - In my case a single alrge image with a logo at the top and footer at the bottom.

I am assuming so but just wanted to check as some other products only support text watermarks.

Hi,

yes, you can use images as well. The feature that could be called text watermark is called stamping in PDFCreator, like putting a big stamp with “Confidential” or “Draft” across the page. The Watermark feature allows to set a document with images, text and everything.
