New version pdf creator loops twice for "save" info to print document once

Just downloaded new version of PDF Creator this week. Now every time I try to print to PDF the sequence repeats: the “save or cancel” page comes up, then on the next page, I type in the name and place to save it, (which used to be the end of it, the printed page showed up on the screen), but now both the “:save and cancel” page and the follow up page requiring me to type in the name and place comes up AGAIN. This didn’t happen on my old version and is very annoying. Any fixes?

Also, when the “save or cancel” page comes up , in the title space it now has the name of the LAST document I printed already (wrongly) in the space for title. Any ideas? Does PDFforge know about this and have a fix?

Hi,

this isn’t common behavior, please try if uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling solves the problem.

Robin

Same here. Reinstallation didn’t help. I will try to figure it out now.

Hi,

does this still happen in version 2.3.1?

Best regards,

Robin

I’m still testing, will know exact in a day or so.

For now it seems that the problem is fixed with 2.3.1 version. On two of my PCs the problem has gone.

If the problem reappears - I will let you know.

I downloaded and installed the new version but does not work, showing the message “the program is not responding”. I uninstalled and installed several times but still showing the same message. Now, older versions do not work on my computer (Win 10).

Hi,

at what point of the setup does it stop responding?

Best regards,

Robin

Installation is completed, but when sending a print or when I set up the program, the same lock.

I’m having a similar issue… did anyone figure out anything yet?

I installed the new release 2.3.2 but the problem continues.

Regarding the “not responding issue”:
It seems this can be caused by the PDF Architect shell integration, which would also explain why reinstalling PDFCreator or reverting to older versions doesn’t solve the problem.
Please try the following to solve the problem, if you are getting “the programm is not responding” typo of errors:
Go to the Windows control panel->programs and features section, select PDF Architect 4 from the list and click on uninstall/modify. Next click on modify and then deselect the checkbox “Windows Shell Integration” in Modules->Create Module->Plugins and lick on next to complete the wizard.

Best regards,

Robin

Go to \Users"User"\AppData\Local\Temp\PDFCreator\Spool. Delete files in that directory. Then test
“User” is the user where the program was installed

Same here. Installation is going on.
