We purchased a large amount of PDF Architect 4 licenses recently to replace Architect 2. We are installing to brand new RDS servers connected to a single RDG server. We have no issues installing architect on the individual servers, however when attempting to print to the Architect PDF printer, they get a windows 8 error. Moments later, an output path prompt will pop up, and the users are able to successfully export their document.
When opening the document, they will find the contents are incorrect, and appear to be print jobs from another user - this does not change - always the same document.
I have re-installed Architect 4 using the instructions at http://www.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator/manual/installation-on-a-terminal-server
This did not resolve the issue.
We have discovered the solution to this issue on our own:
There appear to be two different print spools that architect works through. We spent a lot of time thinking the issue was with the c:\windows\system 32\spool spooler, but it was in fact c:\Program Files\PDF Architect 4\print\ spooler. The solution was to simply allow domain users full access to the directory. This resolves the issue.
